This investigation analyses the way this divergence becomes apparent and generates conflicts in the processes of personnel selection, compensations, evaluation and training. We specifically examine the Human Resources department in a Family Enterprise. We used the case study method to examine a contemporary phenomenon, through a qualitative approach and within a real life context. This research examines a family business dedicated to the hardware trade. To assure reliability we examine a triangulation of several information sources: documentary research, non-structured interview, closed questionnaire and the not intervening observation. The results obtained indicate the need to establish a balance between family demands and business profitability. The results also confirmed that use of case studies as a research method in family business can provide high quality and detailed information Classification-JEL: M1, M10, M100 Keywords: Family Business, Guidelines Conflict Journal:Revista Global de Negocios Pages: 1-12 Volume: 3 Issue: 6 Year: 2015 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/rgnego/rgn-v3n6-2015/RGN-V3N6-2015-1.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:rgnego:v:3:y:2015:i:6:p:1-12 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Segundo Castro-Gonzales Author-Name: Ericks Vazquez-Guzman Author-Name: Jose C. ANALISIS DE SU COMPETITIVIDAD GLOBAL Abstract: This research assesses global competitiveness of Ecuador, Colombia and Peru. It is one of the first studies that use 64 indicators within the context of the three South-American countries. It accomplishes the academic objective by identifying factors that must be taken into consideration urgently to improve the global competitiveness level of countries. It analyzes the average of the last three years data of international sources such as: The International Monetary Fund, The World Bank, The Union Nations Organization, among others. The factors were selected after a literature review and calculating the national and international competitiveness indexes under the double diamond for competitiveness theoretical framework. From a national perspective, we found that Colombia is the most competitive country followed by Peru in second place and Ecuador in third. Internationally, we found that Peru is the most competitive economy, Colombia is in second place and Ecuador in third. When analyzing the global competitiveness of the economies they have small differences, not bigger than 6% from one country to another. Therefore we assume the three economies do compete among each other. This study found that to improve competitiveness level nationally, Ecuador has to improve 6 factors, Peru 5 and Colombia 4. To reach international competitiveness Ecuador should improve 9 factors, Peru 4 and Colombia 7 Classification-JEL: F43, O14, O15, O54, O57, R58 Keywords: Competitiveness Global, Competitive Advantages, Double Diamond, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia Journal:Revista Global de Negocios Pages: 13-28 Volume: 3 Issue: 6 Year: 2015 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/rgnego/rgn-v3n6-2015/RGN-V3N6-2015-2.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:rgnego:v:3:y:2015:i:6:p:13-28 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Julio Cesar Dorado Espino Author-Name: Eyran Roberto Diaz Gurrola Author-Name: Ramon Heredia Martinez Author-Name: Maria Luisa Dorado Espino Author-Name: Diana Rosa Salas Rodriguez Title: INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL AND COMPETENCE MANAGEMENT, APPLIED TO AN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN TORREON, COAHUILA, EL CAPITAL INTELECTUAL Y GESTION POR COMPETENCIAS, APLICADO A UNA INSTITUCION DE EDUCACION SUPERIOR EN TORREON, COAHUILA Abstract: By promoting the development of skills and abilities, competence management generates knowledge to intellectual capital that is created in universities. Professors transfer knowledge to students. This allows determinations of the degree of success. Students develop and participate actively in companies, performing strategic and competitive positions that translate into variables that allow them to accomplish their goals. This research focuses on the degree of culture, intellectual capital and educational competences in a higher education institution in Torreon Coahuila. A phenomenological methodology is carried out, considering observations and statistical analysis. After analyzing these variables we conclude that competence management is a tool that helps develop intellectual capital, shows a difference betweentraining and requirements, and identifies the influence that it has with respect to the mission of the Institution. We expected to have organizational leadership where teachers, professors and personnel are aligned with the quality system ISO9001:2008. This quality management model promotes the adaptation of a system based on norms. It provides a strategy from the executive officers to identify customers and satisfy their needs and expectations. The adoption of the management system is a strategic decision made by the institution Classification-JEL: I12 Keywords: Competence Management, Knowledge, Teacher, Intellectual Capital, Culture Journal:Revista Global de Negocios Pages: 29-43 Volume: 3 Issue: 6 Year: 2015 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/rgnego/rgn-v3n6-2015/RGN-V3N6-2015-3.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:rgnego:v:3:y:2015:i:6:p:29-43 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Alan Paul Beltran Ibarra Author-Name: Ernesto Alonso Lagarda Leyva Title: PROPOSAL OF A CONNECTION MODEL FOR A UNIVERSITY BASED ON THE TRIPLE HELIX, PROPUESTA DE UN MODELO DE VINCULACION PARA UNA UNIVERSIDAD BASADA EN LA TRIPLE HELICE Abstract: This work shows a connection proposal based on the triple helix model. This effort was born as a result of a strategic planning exercise at Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL). To make this proposal we investigated different models of connections of universities of the country, as well as universities in South America and Europe. We generate a proposal where the University supports the development of the region through a strategic collaboration between the Government, industry and the University itself. This meaning is based on the ability of consumption to contain and communicate personal and cultural meanings. The aim of this research is to understand, through a hermeneutic historical analysis, how symbolic objects of consumption identify the generations of consumers, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Generation Y and Generation Z. We examine how these contribute to the construction of personal and generational identity. The approach was qualitative, the method used was historical, hermeneutical, and the techniques applied were in-depth interviews, life stories, content analysis and observation. The sampling was non-probabilistic, with 17 participants, men and women born between the year 1946 and 2005. Participants had socioeconomic level 4 and 5 and were residents of the city of Cali. We established that the generations of consumers Cali closely correspond in behavior and consumption with the generations originally defined by William Strauss and Neil Howe in 1991. On the other hand, the symbolic objects of consumption serve different roles for each generation. Furthermore, symbolic objects moved from family use to individual consumption stopped being part of household equipment to become personal equipment. In younger generations, these are concentrated in the category electronic products, gadgets. Much has been written about apathy and low participation by citizens in the processes of decision-making. This behavior is the result of a oneway relationship and lack of transparency that the same government institutions have adopted in their relationships with society. This paper presents an institutional communication strategy called Yo también opino (I also think), using resources from Below the Line advertising and new technologies to give citizens a different experience when approaching public institutions. Our aim is promoting knowledge, participation and trust. We present a number of finding including that,, although there is a positive response to the project , the demand for information and two-way communication mechanisms between citizens and public institutions is a constant demand.
