One potential solution for decreasing the emission of greenhouse gases is the use of bioethanol produced from corn, sorghum, barley or wheat. These crops were studied to estimate the elasticities of the Marshallian and Hicksian demands through the application of the Almost Ideal Demand System with seemingly unrelated regressions and the use of the Stone Index. Results indicate that corn is the only superior good. Its demand increases despite price increments. The apparent relationship with the use of corn in the United States for the production of ethanol has generated speculation in the international market and has affected the price of tortilla and corn, decreasing the capability of the Mexican population for purchasing corn derived products Classification-JEL: C13, O10, O13, Q00, Q11 Keywords: Demand, Elasticity, Stone Index, Biofuels Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 13-24 Volume: 10 Issue: 1 Year: 2017 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v10n1-2017/RIAF-V10N1-2017-2.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:10:y:2017:i:1:p:13-24 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Juan Carlos Roman Fuentes Title: AREAS OF OPPORTUNITY BASED ON GRADUATE SATISFACTION. Student satisfaction with services received is a (non-exclusive) indicator to detect areas of opportunity and to plan actions for improvement in educational organizations. In this paper, the results of research related to levels of satisfaction are expressed by graduates of six degree programs across three faculties and three schools that make up the Unit for Higher Education Management and Accounting Sciences at the Autonomous University of Chiapas. An Likert scale instrument was used consisting of 88 positive assessments. We analyze ten sub dimensions to quantify student satisfaction with educational services received. The examination was applied to a group composed of 1,969 graduates of three cohorts. Results show that in general there are high levels of satisfaction when graduates complete their studies. However, there are important areas of opportunity for continuous improvement processes. These improvement areas are in terms of the subdomains related to fulfilling basic needs; supporting services; vital security; socio-economic security and work systems Classification-JEL: A22, I21, I23 Keywords: Student Satisfaction, Evaluation, Undergraduates Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 25-36 Volume: 10 Issue: 1 Year: 2017 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v10n1-2017/RIAF-V10N1-2017-3.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:10:y:2017:i:1:p:25-36 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Ma. del Rosario Garcia Velazquez Author-Name: Tirso Javier Hernandez Gracia Author-Name: Eleazar Gonzalez Villegas Author-Name: Sergio Demetrio Polo Jimenez Title: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE AND JOB SATISFACTION IN SERVICE COMPANIES, ASOCIACION DEL CLIMA ORGANIZACIONAL Y LA SATISFACCION LABORAL EN EMPRESAS DE SERVICIOS Abstract: Organizational Development and specifically the evaluation and monitoring of employee perceived factors that that increase satisfaction level and organizational climate is fundamental.
