Previous studies indicate that Mexicans consider themselves to be supportive and participatory. However, few studies describe the philanthropic actions of the integrated Mellennial generation. To study the altruistic behavior of young people, we conducted quantitative research in Northern Mexico. Based on the findings, we identified four factors that define their behavior: love for nature, search for well-being, digital behavior and social capital. By using these four attributes, Millennials can be segmented to provide charities with tools that allow them to communicate with potential donors efficiently. Charities can build medium and long-term relationships that will help them achieve their fundraising goals Classification-JEL: C83, D64, I30, L31, M31 Keywords: Altruism, Communication Strategies, Donations, Donor Profile, Millennial Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 1-12 Volume: 11 Issue: 2 Year: 2018 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v11n2-2018/RIAF-V11N2-2018-1.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:11:y:2018:i:2:p:1-12 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Luis Alfredo Arguelles Ma Author-Name: Roman Alberto Quijano Garcia Author-Name: Mario Javier Fajardo Author-Name: Norma Aguilar Morales Title: RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN PROFITABILITY AND QUALITY IN SMALL TOURISM COMPANIES OF CAMPECHE RELACION DE RENTABILIDAD Y CALIDAD EN PEQUENAS EMPRESAS TURISTICAS DE CAMPECHE Abstract: A lack of financing impedes the growth of small and medium-sized companies in Mexico. In this research we analyze if management produces acceptable financial results. We work with 20 companies in 2017 in the tourism industry that produce food. To structure the independent variable (financial profitability) and the subsidiaries (quality), we analyze information through the parametric linear correlation test. We conclude that there exists an association between the variables. Therefore, correct administrative management with quality promotes positive results that are attractive for both the company and its investors Classification-JEL: G39 Keywords: Profitability, Management, Quality Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 13-24 Volume: 11 Issue: 2 Year: 2018 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v11n2-2018/RIAF-V11N2-2018-2.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:11:y:2018:i:2:p:13-24 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Mario Antonio Burguete Garcia Author-Name: Ramon Sebastian Acle Mena Author-Name: Yazmin Hernandez Chavez Author-Name: Gerardo Hernandez Chavez Title: CAUSALITY BETWEEN STRATEGIC ADMINISTRATION AND CUSTOMER`S SERVICE IN THE GARMENT INDUSTRY IN PUEBLA, MEXICO LA CAUSALIDAD ENTRE LA ADMINISTRACION ESTRATEGICA Y EL SERVICIO AL CLIENTE EN LA INDUSTRIA DEL VESTIDO DE PUEBLA, MEXICO Abstract: The objective of this investigation is to demonstrate the relationship between the strategic administration and customer service in micro, small and medium sized enterprises in the garment industry Puebla, Mexico. However, they have damaged the environment through the indiscriminate use of natural resources, generating environmental problems that affect human health. At the beginning of 1970, international organizations began issuing environmental regulations. In 1988 Mexico initiated legislation on the matter. In 1992, the Official Mexican Standards emerged, establishing technical standards for goods and services manufactured and/or commercialized to avoid risks for the population, environment and animals. In this research, compliance with the norms was analyzed and identified in 45 medium and large companies. The study was carried out in the Metropolitan Zone of the Mexican Valley, specifically in the Industrial Zone of Xalostoc. This industrial zone is the most polluted area of the country due to high population and businesses concentration. The research was qualitative. Public information was analyzed due to lack of response from companies to answer the questionnaire. We found that 82% of companies lack a sustainable administration. There was an average of compliance of 15% to environmental standards. Standards with the greatest compliance are: environment 27%, waste 22% and water 18% Classification-JEL: P48, Q01, Q54, Q56 Keywords: Sustainable Management, Official Mexican Environmental Standards, Mexican SMEs, Industrial Zone of Xalostoc Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 41-57 Volume: 11 Issue: 2 Year: 2018 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v11n2-2018/RIAF-V11N2-2018-4.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:11:y:2018:i:2:p:41-57 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Zita Mirthala Huerta-Cerda Author-Name: Maria del Carmen Catache-Mendoza Author-Name: Maria Alejandra Garcia-Gonzalez Author-Name: Ruth Isela Martinez-Valdez Author-Name: Eli Samuel Gonzalez-Trejo Author-Name: Gloria Pedroza-Cantu Title: THE IMPACT OF GENDER ON FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND SAVINGS OF YOUNG MILLENIALS EL IMPACTO DEL GENERO EN LA EDUCACION FINANCIERA Y EN EL AHORRO DE LOS JOVENES MILLENNIALS Abstract: Saving is not a usual habit in Mexico. This paper serves as the basis to examine this important habit within millennials in Mexico. We focus specifically on those millennials that are already generating profits. The research goal is to determine the impact of gender on savings and financial education among millennials. A comparison based on gender was completed to identify significant differences in regard to saving and financial education among bachelor senior students of a public university, located in northeast of Mexico. A total of 124 surveys were used for this purpose. The sample included half male and half female students. The data was analyzed by comparing the mean values to test the research hypotheses. The results show that men save more and have more financial education knowledge than women. However, these differences were non-significant and additional research is necessary to generalize the research findings and to propose better recommendations to future generations Classification-JEL: J16 Keywords: Saving, Millennials, Financial Education, Gender Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 59-70 Volume: 11 Issue: 2 Year: 2018 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v11n2-2018/RIAF-V11N2-2018-5.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:11:y:2018:i:2:p:59-70 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Betzabe del Rosario Maldonado Mera Author-Name: Jose Javier Buenano Cabrera Author-Name: Karla Viviana Benavides Espinosa Title: FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACCEPTANCE OF UNIVERSITY CAREER QUOTA FACTORES ASOCIADOS A LA ACEPTACION DE CUPO EN UNA CARRERA UNIVERSITARIA Abstract: Since implementation of the admission national system to public higher education of the Ecuador in 2011, no studies have evaluated its efficiency. The objective of this study is to estimate factors associated with the acceptance of the university career quota. We consider personal, contextual and experiential characteristics contemplated in the Cognitive Social Theory of Professional Development proposed by Robert Lent. The study is carried out on students residing in the Province of Pichincha who have passed the second period 2013 entrance exam. A logistic multiple regression model was applied to estimate the probability of accepting the quota allocated. The results show that acceptance of the quota depends on race, the category of the university, the priority of selection of the race and the province in which the university is located. Lent's theory was partially demonstrated. However, the study should be expanded to the total population of applicants to guide policies to ensure quota allocation efficiency Classification-JEL: I23 Keywords: University Admission System, Associated Factors, University Career Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 71-88 Volume: 11 Issue: 2 Year: 2018 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v11n2-2018/RIAF-V11N2-2018-6.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:11:y:2018:i:2:p:71-88 Template-Type: ReDIF-Article 1.0 Author-Name: Martin Romero Castillo Title: FINANCING OF THE MIPYMES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND COMPETITIVENESS IN THE REGION GUANAJUATO, MEXICO FINANCIAMIENTO DE LAS MIPYMES PARA EL DESARROLLO Y COMPETITIVIDAD EN LA REGION GUANAJUATO, MEXICO Abstract: This research is based on analyzing access to financing by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) We consider regional interdependence where the companies are located. These firms are an essential element in the Development and competitiveness of the region of Guanajuato. We perform factorial analysis by major components to determine whether there is a significant relationship between the regional influence factor and access to financing of small businesses. Results show differences in the regions, attributable to the characteristics of the financing of the MSMES. The results appear to be driven by regional interdependence, and are determinant in the development and competitiveness of MSMES in Guanajuato, Mexico Classification-JEL: M10, M20, R11 Keywords: Financing, Regional Effect, Critical Factors, MSMES Journal: Revista Internacional Administracion & Finanzas Pages: 89-98 Volume: 11 Issue: 2 Year: 2018 File-URL: http://www.theibfr2.com/RePEc/ibf/riafin/riaf-v11n2-2018/RIAF-V11N2-2018-7.pdf File-Format: Application/pdf Handle: RePEc:ibf:riafin:v:11:y:2018:i:2:p:89-98
