The environments considered in this research are urban centers (downtowns) and commerce centers (shopping or malls). A qualitative exploratory analysis was conducted involving expert interviews. Quantitative methods were used for the design and application of a survey, which was applied to a sample of 600 customers from different segments. Results were obtained explaining the principal differences perceived between both commercial environments based on perceptions and experiences of those who frequent these environments. However, SMEs still need support when it comes to strategic- operational planning and development of alliances to improve their competitiveness. The Business Lab performs regional studies in the State of Coahuila that includes business diagnosis modeling, design strategies for change, design cooperative strategies for innovation provides virtual site to connect a company and a university. The objective of this work is to show the results achieved in the design and validation of the business model for SMEs. For the study, documental review, expert validation and a survey of 48 Laguna Region SME managers were conducted. The results show perceived similarities between running the business and the designed business mode. The business model allows the definition of strategies to improve the economic and social performance of SMEs. We discuss issues associated with the decision to choose a successor in a family business. In Mexico, 90% of businesses are family owned. One problem in these businesses is succession when the founder is finishing his working life. The founder should be prepared to choose a candidate for succession. In Monclova, Coahuila, a significant number of family businesses seek not only development but also permanence and continuity. Eight founders were interviewed in 2011. Findings show only four of twenty-five variables exceeded company expectations. Results show that 70% of respondents sometimes sleep seven hours, that 37% exercise and 100% non-drug. However, 22% have 2 to 3 mates and four relatives who take drugs, while others felt that all peers use drugs, 37% sometimes consume healthy food. The importance of this contribution is to support the functions of the teacher who is watching what affects students. Habits that may affect learning, appearing in various risk behaviors, such as: related behaviors eating habits, consumption of snuff, alcohol, drugs, physical activities, leisure management, accidents, sexual activity and self-care, among others. When possible the teacher needs to identify and prevent channeling risk and to correct actions in students. This research examines the implications and impulse achieved when micro entrepreneurs enjoy financial support and the impact reflected in their life quality. The study ran from October 2011 through 2012. We examine commercial and service companies in southeastern of Coahuila. Eight variables were analyzed related to its economic and social importance.. The study method is mixed, starting with documentary research and concluding with a field study. The design is not experimental and cross-cutting. The independent variables were not manipulated intentionally and are observed presented in its natural context. We conclude that microcredit has a positive influence on the life cycle of the business and on the living standards of the beneficiaries. Furthermore, we find microcredit has a positive impact on the culture of savings.
