One problem, that has been and continues being, a challenge for scientists in different areas is the trade traveler problem. This paper focuses on evaluation, through the use of metaheuristics algorithms, of a model created based on the analysis of a particular case of this problem. In this special case it was necessary to consider time windows. The goal is to determine which algorithm provides a better solution will provide an aid to decision-makers of companies that require analyzing the variables included in the model. Understanding these factors allows a business to adapt to the environment. The objective of this research is to understand the perception of entrepreneur’s tour companies. Specifically we focus on the area of services and innovation capabilities most relevant to processes, products and technology. We conduct a descriptive study through a survey which is analyzed through discriminant methods. Identifying the most important innovation capacities for tourist entrepreneurs helps generate strategies to contribute to the competitiveness of the sector. To perform the analysis, the supportive/growth oriented leadership model of Song was used. Factor analysis, applying Varimax rotation, was used to investigate the underlying structure of the scale items. Subsequently, a regression analysis was conducted to establish the strength of the relationship between leader´s supportive behaviors and human resource growth. The results of this study suggest the impact of leader behavior in developing employees is reduced, when firms face high levels of uncertainty. This study provides empirical support for the research hypotheses, related to how leader's behavior has a direct effect on human resources development in organizations. The practical implications of the results are subject to discussion. Future research may examine employees' perceptions about uncertainty, analyzing organizational context and individual characteristics that are associated with uncertainty. This study defines the region of Baja California as a peripheral region based on the characterization and analysis of their innovation capabilities as variables. We consider patent applications, foreign direct investment, university and research centers, the companies involved in research and development activities, gross domestic product and employment. To assess the importance of the variables, a correlational study is performed using data from the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), and the Secretariat of Economy (SE). The empirical results indicate the state is a region where innovation is more than a process of learning and adaptation of new technologies in production processes. A STUDY IN A SAMPLE OF COLLEGE STUDENTS, MOTIVACIONES Y LIMITANTES EN LA FORMACION EN INVESTIGACION A TRAVES DEL PROGRAMA DE VERANO CIENTIFICO: UN ESTUDIO EN UNA MUESTRA DE ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS Abstract: The Summer Program of Scientific Research, created by the Mexican Academy of Sciences in Mexico was established as an instrument for promoting research activities among students and scholars. The objective of this study is to analyze the interest perceived. We examine a sample of students who participated in the Summer Program 2012 towards research activities and technological development. The design of the study was non-experimental transectional descriptive. The instrument used data collection was a questionnaire designed to measure the construct called "interest in early training in research activities" constituted by 5 variables and 7 dimensions. We concluded there is true interest of students in the development of research activities and non-personal limitations are perceived. However, the results indicate that knowledge and experience are not enough and institution and teachers should promote these activities with greater support.
