Abstract: Human beings must cover not only physical, emotional and cognitive, but also spiritual necessities. This holds particularly true, when the individual is looking to find a meaningful sense to his work. The current research is focused on analyzing the existence of differences in indicators of spirit at work considering demographic and organizational characteristics of the individuals. We examine individuals who work in a maquiladora plant of electronic articles located in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. An empirical, quantitative and cross-sectional study was designed based on the existing literature, especially the literature on environments by Lean Kaizen. The instrument was applied to one-hundred subjects. Variance analysis examining the independent variables age, education, tenure and position held were performed. Results show that spirit at work under a Lean Kaizen environment is actually affected by age, education, tenure and position held. Classification-JEL: L29, M12, M14. Even though there are models to measure perceived quality, none are designed specifically for sporting events. We use the Delphi method, Alpha Cronbach, Spearman–Brown prediction formula, and ANOVA to develop and test the model. The methodology was developed in three phases. In the first phase, a preliminary list of variables is elaborated by literature review, validated theoretical models and interviews with experts. In the second phase, the content of the instrument is validated using the Delphi method and descriptive statistics; and the third phase, the internal consistency reliability is calculated. As a result, an 18-item instrument is proposed to evaluate perceived quality of sporting events. Classification-JEL: C35, C39, M31, L83. The objective is to group highly similar SMES under a specific confidence level. Results present six groups of highly similar enterprises that could create effective clusters. The originality of the paper resides on the intuitive methodology, matching advantages from Pichat’s Algorithm and fuzzy logic tools in order to decrease uncertainty in the decision making process. The present research tries to shed light on current clustering methods, which are mainly driven by trial and error approaches. Most women are not only housewives, but now participate as workers contributing economically to the family support. Some of them are owners of their own business, or in other cases occupying commanders in various organizations. There arecountless studies on women and their surroundings, but most emphasize family violence or women in an inferior position, among other factors that include a series of variables on women. But, there exist no known gender studies focused on the businesswoman and the working environment in which they operate. The present study aims to identify the qualitative profile of the Coahuila businesswoman. We examine the reasons they undertake the business, the conciliation between family life and labor, discrimination and perceptions around these issues. The methodology has a mixed quantitative-qualitative approach, using two instruments validated by Foundation for the strategic analysis and development of small and medium enterprises (FAEDPYME), and by the school administration and environment management (ESADE), Spain. The survey comprised a sample of 103 women entrepreneurs of micro, small and medium-sized companies in the sectors of service, trade and industry of the State of Coahuila.
