This benchmark return is defined based on average diversification associated with each of five types of funds that each firm in the industry manages. Contributing workers can choose from these funds according their level of risk aversion. Failure to achieve this minimum forces the management company of these funds to cover the deficit with its own resources. This research analyzes, on a monthly basis, the extent to which pension fund administrators adopt active or imitative investment strategies. An active investment strategy means taking the best diversification options detected for the portfolio. Alternatively, adopting an imitative strategy implies the overriding objective is to stay around the average industry diversification and thus not be exposed to the risk of not meeting minimum return. A competitive advantage helps us stay in the market, because the needs and desires of customers are met in a way better than competitors are able to. If the staff is a very important part of organizations, and is essential for the proper functioning of the operations of the organization, we can assert that individual employee behavior affects organizational performance. Happy employees offer better service to customers. In addition to employee satisfaction, employees must have the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to perform their job. This research determines which individual characteristics, personality, values, principles and skills of employees, influence performance of the organization and therefore provide competitive advantages. Lagarda-Leyva Title: FRESHWATER WHITE SHRIMP SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT, EVALUACION DEL DESEMPENO DE LA CADENA DE SUMINISTRO DEL CAMARON BLANCO DE AGUA Abstract: Small and Medium Organizations (SMEs) of the Cajeme district, which produce freshwater white shrimp, are currently facing planning and assessment difficulties in their supply chain. The Experimental Technology Transfer Center (known as CETT 910), operated by the Aquaculture Department of the Technological Institute of Sonora (ITSON), where R&D farming methods of this type of shrimp takes place, is an example of this situation. In an attempt to add value to the market, organizations have come up with the idea of breeding shrimp with an increased yield and larger sizes. Nevertheless, it has become a problem because in order to achieve these goals, the farming time per cycle is being exceeded, thus causing additional costs that surpass the planned budget range. This consequently, increases the risk of failure. This article presents research results on how to assess the performance of the freshwater white shrimp supply chain, using the systems dynamics methodology which allowed us to observe several scenarios on the product during the process of its breeding, production and final delivery to clients. The results obtained offered CETT 910 theoretical and methodological foundations for the development and understanding of the dynamics of three links of the freshwater white shrimp supply chain which is produced and distributed in domestic and international markets. The approach of five typology’s success in subsistence businesses were identified in the context of subsistence businesses. These include local markets, income for subsistence, lack of access to basic resources and government support and informal network. Based on this background we propose hypothesis (1) the definition of success is determined by financial performance (2) the definition of success is related to the entrepreneur’s goals and motives to start his/her business. To test the hypothesis, an exploratory and cross-sectional study were used. Seventy-six subsistence handicraft businesses were interviewed in Oaxaca, Mexico. We found the definition of business success is determined by customer-oriented goals and entrepreneurial motivation to self-realization and to transmit a cultural identity, as well as non-financial business performance. But, we did not find a significant relationship with financial performance. The objective is to identify the perception of employees in respect of personalization capacities and reconfiguration of the company in which they work and their relationship to the competitive advantage of the firm. To achieve this, a sample size of 100 employees from the productive sector of the City of Tecate in Baja California, Mexico was used. A questionnaire was used as reported by Máynez-Guaderrama, et al. 2013. We determine reliability by means of Cronbach’s alpha resulting in a reliability index of 0.798. The results obtained reveal a positive but weak association exists between organizational capacities studied and the competitive advantage. To raise awareness requires work on issues of the concrete implementation of this linkage and evaluation of the results. This article presents different approaches and practical results achieved by the authors that highlight barriers the University must overcome to achieve a better bonding. From the perception of 166 respondents’ entrepreneurs, we identify and validate the most representative variables by methodological triangulation. We use the Kruskal Wallis test and Regression Analysis, which allows understanding of a conceptual model from this selection of variables.
